he Northwest Regional Primary Care Association (NWRPCA) is a not-for-profit membership association of community, migrant and homeless health centers in Oregon and other states in the Pacific Northwest. As part of the health-care safety net, these centers provide comprehensive primary health care to residents without regard to their ability to pay.
The NWRPCA furnishes Health Care Centers with the tools and assistance it needs to ensure that underserved populations (those without health-care insurance, low-income people and others in need) have full and comprehensive access to high quality, culturally competent health-care services.

The NWRPCA provides reliable, high-quality support on a wide range of physical and mental-health issues. Specifically, the NWRPCA:

Represents, among others, the Ochoco Community Clinic in various state and federal policy arenas from an advocacy standpoint;

Monitor policies and trends that impact the accessibility of health-care services to the underserved people in Central Oregon;

Publishes specialized health-center operation resources;

Provides customized technical assistance and training to meet the specialized needs of residents in Central Oregon;

Fosters collaboration and a “think tank” among a large community of knowledgeable health-care professionals through face-to-face and on-line communications; Supports the Health Care Centers in recruiting and retaining high quality, dedicated clinicians;

Hosts conferences and provides training throughout the year to provide continuing education and to build skills among Health Care Center staff to expand and constantly improve its services to patients;

Maintains a comprehensive Web site featuring information about the NWRPCA (this is in addition to the OCC’s own Web site), its services and other critical information that helps individuals and families evaluate their needs against the services provided by the Clinic.

The NWRPCA’s mission is to support and act as an advocate for the establishment of additional community-based organizations that provide high-quality, comprehensive health care — without regard to an individual or families’ financial status — to the underserved population in Central Oregon and other areas in the Pacific Northwest.

Please call the NWRPCA at (206) 783-3004 for more information.
